MEMORIALTRIBUTE TO MARCEL AND NANCY 1ST OCTOBER 2016 DE BAROEG ROTTERDAM
On October 1st 2016 we honoured our friends Marcel and Nancy who lost their lives in a tragic road accident last year. They were like family to the band. 2gether with "Hour of Darkness" and Marcel's old bandmates "A Strange Cure" we said one last goodbye. The concert was beneficial, all revenues went to a trustfund for Marcel and Nancy's 2 kids.

It is with great sadness in our hearts that we have to say goodbye to two of the loveliest persons we have ever known.
As devoted fans who soon became close friends, Marcel and Nancy have been part of the essence family for years.
Marcel loved the song "All is Empty" and once requested it for us to play live at one of our concerts. It's because of him that the song is in our setlist today and when in the audience we always especially dedicated the song to him.
So needless to say our song "All is Empty" will be theirs forever amongst the stars.

About the special limitedness of the copies from the 2 showdates

SPECIAL LIMITED PRE-RELEASE of the "Afterglow" album at the shows on 23rd and 25th May
Loyal fans who bought the cd at the past two shows in Holland and Germany have been rewarded with a special limited gift.
Time has come to reveil the limitedness of your copy. First of all, this was a first release limited edition of only 100 copies! So if you got one of them keep it somewhere safe. To stand out from the regular ones, this copy contains a hidden secret that you may have noticed already. A clue?
The concept from the album cover of the 1995 "Glow" Album was that you can see a new modern building built next to an old building and the remains of a pile of debris. It meant that "nothing lasts forever" (the previous album) and with the help of positive energy (a glow) new things can rise from the ashes.
Well as you can see from the design of the "Afterglow" cover, that same building from 1995 has now been integrated into a whole new futuristic alian building.
The give away?.....on de CD itself you can find the print, but can you reed the name of the band? The name is written in alian signs but in translation it will say something like "The Essence"!
